GREGOR HILDEBRANDT

Gregor Hildebrandt was born in 1974 in Bad Homburg, Germany. He now lives and works in Berlin, Germany.

Hildebrandt’s paintings, sculptures and installations combine musical, pop-cultural and cinematic influences, using visual materials of sound recordings such as vinyl, CD’s, and cassettes. Balancing both sound and silence past and present, the familiar and unfamiliar, Hildebrandt composes technically complex and tactile works of nostalgia.
